Game 7 . Boston vs LA with Generation-X players. It is going down. Finally, we have a game 7 we can talk about for years to come. The last two game 7's in the NBA finals were back in 2005 Pistons v Spurs (boring) and 1994 Rockets v Knicks (sorry Mike was retired so doesn't count). But now we have a Game 7 that is legit. The two greatest franchises in NBA history, at least 6 Hall of Famers sharing the hardwood, two great coaches, what more can you ask for. Pause, before you utter his name and although his impending FA is dominating the headlines lets not lose sight of what we are truly witnesses too. A classic series right before our eyes. In fact, if you think about it what gets us excited about FA the possibilty that some team will get a certain player which will mark the beginning of dynasty. Just remember it was Magic and Bird that proceeded MJ. So before we crown the NBA's future King. Kobe, Gasol, Phil, Pierce, KG, and Doc got to do their thang. So as you watch tomorrow's showdown, recall what man Jay-Z said "this is histroy in the making people." Game 7. Boston vs LA. Get your popcorn ready!
So if Perkins does not play for Boston does that take away from the excitement of Game 7? Especially if LA blows them out again. I can hear all the Boston fans now, "The only reason da Celtics got worked by the Fakers is because Perkins was hurt (in best Boston accent."
ReplyDeleteNo Perkins, means NO TITLE! Back to back for the Lakers! They have the home court advantage and despite pussy Pierce thinking of playing tonight, he will not succeed! Two years ago you had Lakers fans stating, "Boston only won because Bynum was hurt!" Is this true? Bynum shouldn't give more than 20 minutes tonight, but that still could be key. Don't think it'll be a blowout based on the fact Artest may have gotten lost on his way to the court and continue his erratic play. Columnists are saying it's up to Odom for the Lakers, and Rondo for Boston. Tip off in less than 7 hours. Lakers by 8. Brace yourselves folks, it's gonna be a bumpy ride!
